Defensive end star for FSU football named in Powerade national campaign

Florida State University (FSU) football defensive end Patrick Payton has been featured in Powerade’s latest national marketing campaign. The campaign, called “Commitment Takes More,” highlights top college athletes, emphasizing the effort and dedication required to excel. This is a significant milestone for Payton, who expressed his excitement about being part of a commercial, fulfilling a childhood dream of appearing in an ad similar to the ones he admired growing up.

As a standout player for FSU, Payton has made a name for himself with an impressive 12 sacks and 12 pass deflections over his first two seasons. Entering his junior year, he is seen as a potential first-round NFL draft pick, building on his All-ACC performance from the previous season. Payton’s inclusion in the Powerade campaign follows in the footsteps of another FSU star, Jared Verse, who also secured an NIL deal with Powerade before being drafted into the NFL【6†source】【7†source】【8†source】.

This Powerade campaign marks an effort to reenergize the brand, as it continues to grow under the BodyArmor Sports Nutrition umbrella. By featuring Payton and other top athletes, Powerade is seeking to expand its influence in the competitive sports drink market【8†source】.
