Florida State University (FSU) suffered a significant loss as five-star offensive tackle Solomon Thomas flipped his commitment to Louisiana State University (LSU). Thomas, a highly coveted recruit from Jacksonville, Florida, had been a cornerstone of FSU’s 2025 class and previously committed to the Seminoles after initially pledging to Miami. However, a recent visit to LSU for their game against Vanderbilt proved pivotal in swaying his decision.

 

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, Thomas is ranked among the top offensive linemen in the nation. His switch to LSU strengthens the Tigers’ already impressive recruiting class, which aims to dominate the trenches under head coach Brian Kelly.
