Mosley’s rise in the basketball world has been remarkable, especially considering he only began focusing on the sport during his sophomore year. His dedication and rapid development have been evident, with standout performances at events like the Top 100 camp, where he averaged 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Additionally, at the Section 7 elite event in Glendale, Arizona, he showcased his scoring prowess by averaging 22.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. citeturn0search15

LSU head coach Matt McMahon expressed enthusiasm about Mosley’s commitment, highlighting his versatility and fit within the team’s system. “Mazi Mosley is an athletic guard with good size at 6-5,” McMahon said. “We love his 3-point shooting along with his ability to get in the paint off the dribble. He plays with great unselfishness and can make all of the reads as a passer.” citeturn0search15

Mosley’s commitment adds to LSU’s impressive 2025 recruiting class, which also includes four-star power forward Matt Gilhool. Both players are ranked among the top 100 national prospects, with Mosley sitting at No. 62. citeturn0search0
