Justin Pippen, the 20-year-old son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, has made a significant decision regarding his basketball career by entering the transfer portal, effectively leaving the Michigan Wolverines. Pippen, a 6’3″ guard, joined Michigan as a four-star recruit in April 2024. He chose the Wolverines over other prominent programs, including Cal, Florida, Stanford, and Texas A&M. At the time, he expressed his desire to be at a big school that could help him achieve his ultimate goal of reaching the NBA.
Throughout his freshman season, Pippen played in 28 games, averaging 1.6 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game. However, he did not see action during the first two rounds of March Madness, with his last appearance on March 9. Despite the team’s progress, Pippen will not be joining them in Atlanta for the upcoming stages of the tournament.

Notably, both Scotty Jr. and their father, Scottie Pippen, made history by recording triple-doubles in the same game, marking the first time a father-son duo achieved this feat in the NBA.
