Michigan State men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo has demonstrated a keen eye for talent in the 2025 recruiting class, particularly in the small forward position. His efforts have positioned the Spartans as strong contenders for several top-tier prospects, reflecting his commitment to building a competitive roster.

**Cam Ward**: A 6-foot-6 forward from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Ward is ranked among the top 50 prospects nationally. In July 2024, he included Michigan State in his top ten schools, alongside Marquette, Mississippi State, Alabama, Kansas State, Maryland, Virginia, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, and Florida State. Ward scheduled official visits with Michigan State, Alabama, Kansas State, and Maryland, expressing admiration for Izzo’s legacy and the program’s potential to advance his career.

**Jordan Scott**: Standing 6-foot-7, Scott hails from Reston, Virginia, and is considered a top 100 recruit in the 2025 class. In April 2024, Izzo personally visited Scott, highlighting the Spartans’ interest. Scott’s final considerations included Maryland and Virginia Tech, with Michigan State emerging as a leading contender. He praised the Spartans’ basketball culture and Izzo’s coaching prowess, leading to his commitment to Michigan State in October 2024.

**Dwayne Aristode**: A 6-foot-7 forward from New Hampshire, Aristode is ranked as the third-best small forward in the 2025 class. In August 2024, he scheduled an official visit to Michigan State, expressing interest in the program’s style of play and Izzo’s coaching approach. Aristode’s recruitment is highly competitive, with Duke and UConn also in pursuit. His versatility and athleticism make him a valuable prospect for the Spartans.

Through strategic recruiting, Coach Izzo has positioned Michigan State as a formidable contender for some of the nation’s top small forward talent in the 2025 class. These efforts underscore the program’s commitment to excellence and its appeal to high-caliber recruits.
