Anacortes, Washington native and four-star shooting guard Davis Fogle has committed to Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball program. Fogle, a 6-foot-7, 185-pound guard, chose the Bulldogs over offers from Kansas and Creighton.
During his junior year at Anacortes High School, Fogle showcased exceptional talent, averaging 31.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game, leading his team to the Washington State 2A Tournament quarterfinals. His performance earned him the Northwest Conference Player of the Year award.
To further develop his skills against top-tier competition, Fogle transferred to AZ Compass Prep in Chandler, Arizona, for his senior season. Reflecting on this decision, he stated, “I could have stayed at Anacortes and stayed comfortable… or I could go somewhere and get out of my comfort zone.”
Fogle’s commitment to Gonzaga was influenced by the program’s consistent success and developmental approach. He noted, “The whole family atmosphere, all the guys love to work and get in the gym… Gonzaga has been a high-level program for more than 20 years.”
Gonzaga’s head coach, Mark Few, expressed enthusiasm about Fogle’s potential, stating that he is “only scratching the surface” and highlighting his scoring ability and feel for the game.
Fogle’s basketball lineage includes his mother, Amy (Rakers) Fogle, who was a standout player at Southern Illinois University, ranking in the top five for points and rebounds. Her experience and guidance have been instrumental in Davis’s development.
With his commitment, Fogle becomes Gonzaga’s first recruit for the 2025 class, bringing a promising combination of size, skill, and determination to the Bulldogs’ roster.
