West Virginia University’s (WVU) football program has secured a significant addition to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of defensive back Julien Horton. Horton, a standout from Bel Air High School in Abingdon, Maryland, had previously committed to the University of North Carolina (UNC) but announced his decision to join the Mountaineers on December 4, 2024.

That season, he tallied 32 tackles, one interception, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble on defense. On offense, he recorded 65 catches for 696 yards and eight touchdowns, along with 19 carries for 187 yards and two touchdowns.
