The recruiting season is in full swing at Kentucky with the Mark Pope era officially underway in Lexington.
Pope already has 4-star recruits Collin Chandler and Travis Perry to go with Drexel center Amari Williams, but the head coach still has an entire roster to continue putting together.
Kentucky has been linked to and reached out to Stanford transfer Andrej Stojakovic after a solid freshman season.
Andrej is the son of former NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic and was a top-25 recruit in the 2023 class.
Stojakovic is regarded as a 3-point shooter. It’s no secret Pope’s offensive scheme loves 3-point shooting after his BYU Cougars finished second in the country in 3-point percentage last year.
Now that the Stanford transfer has been in the portal for a little while, he is starting to narrow down his decisions and taking visits.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Kentucky remains heavily involved with Stojakovic. Other schools in pursuit include North Carolina, California, and Michigan.
KSR’s Jacob Polacheck added that Stojakovic could visit Kentucky, but nothing has been set in stone just yet.
The 6-foot-7, 190-pound Stojakovic averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds as a true freshman at Stanford during the 2023-24 season. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
There is still plenty of time for the Cats to secure some key guys for the upcoming season’s roster, but the clock is ticking.
