SAD NEWS: Declan Rice was sold out at a chipper rate Western Ham United called for unfinished business

Arsenal playmaker Kai Havertz delivered another stand-out performance during the 3-0 Premier League victory over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners continued their winning streak against the Cherries on Saturday. They lacked the cutting edge in front of goal, but still went on to win by a convincing scoreline.

Gabriel Jesus scores with an impressive finish in training

Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal striker, scored a beauty in Gunners’ training in May 2024.

Declan Rice was adjudged the man of the match after his goal and assist in the second half, but Havertz had an equally good outing and played a big part in the 3-0 triumph.

Arsenal struggled to find the back of the net for most of the opening half, but they eventually broke the deadlock in the 45th minute from a penalty won by the German.

Bukayo Saka converted the resultant spot-kick for his 20th goal of the season.

Shortly after the interval, Havertz put the ball on the plate for Saka to double the advantage, but the Gunners graduate failed to capitalise as he rushed with his effort.

Aside from the penalty, Havertz won an impressive 12 ground and aerial duels alongside four tackles. He provided three key passes, creating two big chances for his teammates.

Following the game, manager Mikel Arteta described Havertz’s performance as ‘unbelievable’ and added that he was ‘intelligent‘ with his movement in and around the box.

Havertz had a slow start to his debut season at Arsenal, but his form has been exceptional since the turn of the year. He has registered 13 goals and six assists from 49 outings.

The former Chelsea man has been fantastic since becoming a permanent striker for the Gunners. He could force the club into rethinking over their need for a marquee centre-forward.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are still trailing Manchester City in the title race despite the win. City are only one point behind the Gunners and have a game in hand against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arteta’s side can only do their job over the final two games and hope that the holders slip up.
