Darious Williams is back with the Los Angeles Rams and he has plenty to play for this upcoming season. Will Williams once again help LA make a deep playoff run? Depending on what you read you may see William’s name come up as a not so savvy signing by LA,

but if you look at some of the links below you’ll see some big expectations for the recent acquisition.

What are your thoughts on the topic? I suppose it’s all a matter of perspective and we’ll just have to see how the players play come game time. Hopefully everyone had a nice Memorial Day! Please comment on whatever you want and have a great Tuesday!

Darious Williams named the Rams’ most underrated player for 2024 (ramswire)

“Doug Farrar of Touchdown Wire picked every team’s most underrated player heading into the 2024 season and Williams was his selection for the Rams.

Williams is built like a slot-only cornerback at 5-foot-9 and 187 pounds, but he’s been a great outside cornerback for years, and that was just as true in 2023, when he allowed 51 catches on 86 targets for 613 yards, 178 yards after the catch, two touchdowns, four interceptions, 18 pass breakups, and an opponent passer rating of 69.6.

Through his NFL career, Williams has allowed 10 touchdowns to 11 interceptions, and has a lifetime opponent passer rating of 76.7. It’s safe to say that nobody expected that when he came out of college.”

Rams News: Projecting How LA’s Offense Will Change in 2024 (si.com)

“So, how will each member of the offense fare exactly? According to ESPN NFL analyst Mike Clay, who has meticulously projected the statistical projections for all 32 teams, the Rams are expected to replicate their previous season’s success.

Clay has Stafford, completing 347 passes for 4,065 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and playing in 15 games. These numbers are an increase from Stafford’s 2023 season, in which he started 15 games. The 36-year-old will be critical to the Rams’ success, not only because he plays the most important position but because of what he brings to the team week in and week out. This Rams team is a lot different without No. 9.”

Random Ramsdom Fandom: Durant or Kendricks? (By CDNGolfer on May 27, 2024)

“Just going by my eye test and impressions, Kendrick plays a far more aggressive style than Durant, something you should want in a CB. I’ve mentioned several times that during Detroit’s first drive in last year’s WC game, every pass during the drive was directed towards Durant and resulted in a completion. He looked more like he was trying to not make a mistake as opposed to trying to make a play. Not a winning style.

As a result of Kendrick’s more aggressive style, he gets more flags thrown his way but to put that into perspective, Kendrick had 11 flags in 858 snaps last year with one declined and L’Jarius Sneed had 18 flags with 6 declined in 992 snaps. I’ll remind you that Sneed just signed a new deal worth 19 million a year and is considered one of the best DB’s in the league. Kendrick had 1 INT, 10 passes defended 43 tackles with a scary 11 missed tackles while Sneed had 2 picks, 14 PD and 78 tackles with 6 whiffs. Obviously I’m not trying to say Kendrick is anywhere near as good as Sneed, yet, but to be fair, Sneed has two more NFL seasons of experience.”
