Yet Undrafted Signing: Former Gonzaga All-Time Leading Scorer Drew Timmy Agrees Contract Agreement Deal With NBA Major Team

After an illustrious collegiate career at Gonzaga University, Drew Timme, the Bulldogs’ all-time leading scorer, faced an unexpected turn during the 2023 NBA Draft when he went undrafted. Despite this setback, Timme’s journey toward professional basketball continued as he secured an Exhibit 10 contract with the Milwaukee Bucks shortly after the draft concluded.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum-salary deal that can be converted into a two-way contract before the season begins. This arrangement provided Timme with an opportunity to prove his worth during training camp and the Summer League, aiming for a spot on the Bucks’ roster.

During the preseason, Timme appeared in two games for Milwaukee. However, he was waived by the Bucks on October 18, 2023. Shortly thereafter, he joined their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. Timme showcased his potential with notable performances, including a 30-point, 10-rebound, and 6-assist game in early December, and a 16-point, 15-rebound outing during the G League Showcase on December 22. Unfortunately, his progress was halted due to a left foot fracture, leading to season-ending surgery on February 1, 2024.

In October 2024, Timme signed with the Sacramento Kings but was waived the same day. He then joined their G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, on October 27, 2024. His tenure with Stockton was brief, as he was traded to the Long Island Nets on December 30, 2024, where he currently continues his professional basketball career.

Timme’s journey underscores the challenges and unpredictability faced by even the most accomplished college athletes transitioning to the professional level. His resilience and determination remain evident as he continues to pursue his NBA aspirations through the G League.
